I found this picture on Addicted 2 Decorating and it made my mind spin with ideas that I just had to share with you.
First of all, can I tell you how much I love the drapes. They are just beautiful. In fact, beautiful is how I imagine feeling in this room…reality is I’d probably be more like a bull in a china shop, but go with me as I dream.
Imagine having this place in downtown Chicago…I was going to say New York, but I’m really more of a Chicago girl.
A place where I could just bring girlfriends and we could sit and be girly…after we went shopping of course…..
Hey…if men are allowed to dream of their “man caves”, why can’t I dream?
Look at all that white furniture…guess there would be no jeans allowed. …
In reality, I think the reason why this room makes me smile is it reminds me of a place that my sister would be.
I have the greatest sister…she is a true lady…yet at 65, she could still climb a tree if her grandson asked her to.
What my sister is always reminding me of is…life is to short not to surround yourself with things that you love.
Every day she makes sure she gets out and walks…not listening to noise in her Ipod but the sounds of nature.
She puts her make up on just to run to the grocery store.
She eats breakfast with fine china and linens and for dinner she adds soft music to set the mood.
Wow, I wish I was more like her.
